This is a quick abdominal trick that I learned a few years ago and it is one that I still use almost everyday. It is called…the ab vacuum! This exercise is perfect to do literally anywhere and anytime you have a spare minute or so. And yes, you can even do it while you are waiting at the bank, I wasn’t lying about that.
To perform the ab vacuum, start by completely exhaling and getting all the air out of your lungs. Once your lungs are empty, pull in your abdominal muscles towards your spine. Pretend you are trying to touch your belly button to your spine or lower back.
Now contract your ab muscles and squeeze them as tight as possible. Hold this position as you count to ten. Take a quick rest and then repeat this cycle five more times. For even greater results, repeat this a few times throughout the day. This truly is a kick ass exercise for building up those ab muscles and increase your core strength.
Sorry to burst your bubble. But now you can never use the excuse of not having any time to work on your abs! With this trick up your sleeve or actually under your top, you will always be able to crank out a few cycles of the ab vacuum.
Start building those abs,
I actually have to go to the bank right now. I guess I need to start building my 6 pack somewhere!
I will have to try this one next time at the bank!
So easy and simple. Thanks for revealing this exercise.
